Sports and physical activities are an integral part of our curriculum as they play a vital role in a child’s development.
A day camp was organized for the students of classes nursery- II on 20th December, 2019 and class III – IX & XI on 21st December, 2019.
The tiny tots arrived at the school brimming with excitement. They were shown a movie 'Home Alone' in the mini auditorium where they were served sandwiches and chips to munch. Also, there was an arrangement of many fun-filled activities like bouncy, Ball pool, balloon modeling, nature trail, fun games, puppet show, magic show, Mickey mouse, bonfire, dance and music session.
The students of grade III to IX & XI were taken to Lohagarh Farms situated at the outskirts of Gurugram, Haryana. It was a mesmerising trip where the students discovered the vibrant culture of a typical Indian village, indulged in local flavours and uncovered tradition and way of life. After a healthy breakfast prepared in full Desi style, they participated in various activities arranged for them under the experienced guides.
There were adventure activities like commando crawl, beam balancing, Burma bridge, rope climbing, Tarzan swing, double rope bridge, Woody wave along with instructor lead activities like spider web, dragon tail and plank walk.
They also had great fun playing different games like tug-of-war, kabaddi, Lattu, pithoo, gulel, darts, archery and kushti.
Apart from all these, the rural activities were also enjoyed by one and all like camel ride, tractor ride, pottery making, mehandi, charkha and chakki.
The delectable local food was a treat for the taste buds and so was the music for our ears. Everyone danced their hearts out on the music played by the DJ. For the teachers also, it was a trip down the memory lane. They relived their childhood once again and came back with tons of memories.
These two days were fun-filled and the amount of energy exhibited by the students was enthralling. The students were extremely happy and returned home with a token of love and memories to be cherished forever.
