The social science lab of Red Roses Public School, Gurugram is set up primarily to encourage creative and original thinking among our students and to enhance the understanding of concepts.
Our lab is equipped with maps, globes, sculptures, inscriptions, manuscripts, sketches, different models, samples of soil, minerals and pictorial charts which helps in creating and maintaining much needed congenial atmosphere for effective learning. The students are made to work on various activities and projects which highlight the beauty of social science as subject. Computers have become inevitable in almost sphere of life. Actually we live in an age where most of our activities are dependent on the usage of computers applications in many sections including Science and education.
Computer education in school helps the children to get access to the extensive world of information. Students can get any information that they desire with the help of computer. A well equipped computer lab plays an important role in educating children about the proper usage of hardware and software.
School computer lab has well equipped computers with latest software installed. A hard writing surface on each computer desk is available to the students for taking notes. School computer lab has also high speed internet connection on each system, which proves beneficial while doing research work. In order to verify the theoretical and related concepts practically, Red Roses Public school is equipped with a Physics lab containing all necessary apparatus like Meter bridges, Potentiometers, Rheostats, Sonometers, Viscometers, Ohm ‘law apparatus, Spherical mirrors and lenses, Prisms, Glass slabs, various semiconductor diodes and their characteristics verification apparatus, Transistor characteristic verification apparatus, pendulums, Galvanometers, Ammeters, Voltmeters, Vernier callipers, Screw gauges, Calorimeters, Beam balance, Vector addition using weights, Models, pictorial charts explaining theory and all the required material to conduct the experiments. Students conduct experiments and conclude the result by themselves under the guidance of experienced teachers. The number of equipments is enough so that 6-8 groups of students can perform the experiment at a time.
The objective of school is to give students an opportunity to verify some of the ideas for themselves by working in group as a team. It helps to familiarize students with experimental apparatus, the scientific method, and methods of data analysis so that they will have some idea of the inductive process by which ideas were originated.
The objective of chemistry laboratory is to enhance the learning ability and to impart practical exposure about theoretical concepts. The experiments conducted in the labs help students to add to their knowledge and understand the nature of chemistry and other disciplines to a wide variety of chemical problems.
Our chemistry laboratory is well designed to support and illustrate chemical concepts studied in the lecture portion of the course as well as to introduce important laboratory techniques amd encourage analytical thinking.
