Following clubs are functional in our school:
- Alfaaz-The Literary Club : The Literary club is committed to tap effective communication talent among students; club is poised to enable the talents with cutting edge. To develop and hone the literary skills of the students, the club inspires students to develop a taste for literature and also works in the direction of expanding their horizon of spoken and written language. Its intricate agenda includes a variety of activities aimed at building up the confidence and grooming the talents of students in facing various interpersonal challenges and competitions.
Proposed Activities for the session: Prologue / Epilogue writing, Paparazzi (Reporting), Poets Galore-Recitation and analysis of poems written by a favourite poet/poetess, debates and declamation, Spelling games like Spell Bee, Crossword puzzles, poetry writing, storytelling, building word chains, weaving stories around pictures, designing book jackets, just a minute, Fastest Reading Competition, CBSE Expression Series, Hindi Mukhavari, One Act Play, Rap making, Shloka Chanting etc.
- Innovation-The ICT Club: The ICT Club focuses on means to expand and enrich the knowledge of students in the innovations in Information Technology. This club benefits children as they establish job skills that they will need in their future careers. Children also remain up-to-speed in the ever-progressing world of technology. School club members can take part in a variety of computer activities along with researching for good educational content.
Proposed activities for the session: Technology Innovatory, Blogging, Graphic Designing, Animation, Ethical Hacking, Web Designing, Brochure Designing, Collage making, Logo designing, IT Quiz, Power Point Presentation, Short Movie Making, Digital Painting, awareness about Cyber Abuse, etc.
- Earthlings-The Environment Club: Human activities have harmed the environment and are affecting our climate as well as life style. We will see its ill effects in the future. So environment club aims to bring awareness among the students and inculcate the habit to respect their surroundings and gifts of the nature. It strives to create awareness of the need for preservation of our environment and sustainable use of natural resources.
Proposed activities for the session: Campus Cleanliness, Afforestation programme, Organizing Rallies, Street Plays, Poster/ Placard making, Replacing Non – Biodegradable Plastics by bags made of paper and cloth, Planting of Flowering Plants, Fruit Plants, Medicinal Plants, placing of Dust Bins, Compost Pit and Drains for proper disposal of waste materials, fire drills, plantation drives, power conservation measures, waste utilization workshops and environmental surveys, Bird watching, insect watching, naming of all the plants and trees around the campus, etc.
- Alchemist-The Science Club: Science Club provides opportunities to explore the knowledge through activities. This will develop scientific temperament in students and society. Science club connects students to real scientists and scientific environment. It helps in student’s development through different activities to explain real world phenomenon and coherent integration of authentic science practices, concepts and core ideas. It is a place where various experiments are conducted by the enthusiastic members of the club to improve their problem solving, decision making, investigative skills
Proposed activities for the session: Science Quiz, making of three dimensional models, simple robots, performing experiments, preparing posters, making photo frames on scientists, bookmarks with interesting facts of science, wall hangings, Science Olympiad, Vigyan Manthan, etc.
- Sanskriti-The Heritage Club: The heritage club serves the purpose of creating awareness, preserving and promoting our varied and rich ancient culture and traditions, among the young learners. It conducts various activities and educational excursions for students that enable them to appreciate the traditions, culture and religions diversity of our country. It aims to not only bring the entire gamut of social sciences activities under one club, but also to build up and preserve a necessary / proper record for display and reference, so as to bring awareness to more and more students about our rich heritage.
Proposed activities for this session: MUN- It is an educational simulation and academic activity in which students can learn about diplomacy international relations and the United Nations, CBSE Heritage Quiz Competition, Role Play on the history of the world, Visit to places of worship, Folk Dance Competition, Celebration of various festivals etc.
- Seva-The Community Service Club The Community Service Club sensitizes students to respond constructively to disparity and injustice in modern society, inculcates socially desirable values such as empathy and co-operation and nurtures the desire of the young to serve the needy.
Proposed Activities for the Session: It will undertake projects such as literacy and educational programmes for adults and underprivileged children, field trips, health campaigns, awareness campaigns, Shramdaan, Making Bird house, Candle making, Paper bag making, Best out of waste, etc
- Vigyani- The General Awareness CLUB Francis Bacon said “Knowledge is power”. General Awareness Club contributes to personal enrichment and a better understanding of the world as whole. The club will help foster a desire for knowledge and boost confidence among the children. The children will be taught to use the resources in library and the internet. It will also provide a platform for students to participate in inter school quiz competitions.
Proposed Activities for the Session: Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat quizzes, Current issues, Celebration of Human Rights Day, GK Quiz, etc.
- Mathemagician- The Math Club The Math Club is not only for Math enthusiasts, but also for students who think of math as a difficult subject. The club creates interest in Math through interesting and innovative activities for various classes. The Objective of running mathematics club is to bring fun and excitement to students. It helps to build confidence in students of all ability and interest levels by giving them the opportunity to engage in unique math activities in a relaxed, social setting.
Proposed Activities for the Session: Mathematics puzzle, Magic square, Fibonacci numbers, Rubik’s cube, Sudoku, Posters on Mathematical concepts, Geometric designs using string art, Quiz, Role Play of Mathematicians of the World, Time line Charts on Mathematicians, etc.
- Artistia- The Arts Club The art club is formed to encourage students to express their thoughts, feelings and creativity through the various art forms from two dimensions to three dimensions. The Club prepares the students for further vocational / professional courses through assignments catering to design oriented professions. All these are supplemented with guiding students to prepare and take part in competitions to give them the much needed exposure.
Proposed Activities for the Session: Interschool Band Competition, Calligraphy, Flower carpet, Vegetable carving, Glass and foil painting, Solo singing competition, Comic strip making, Rangoli making, Diya Making, Fabric Painting, Wall Magazine, Spot dance competition, Dramatics, etc.
- Nirvana-The Health and Wellness Fitness Club: Striving on the motto, “Healthy life, productive life, I’m happy, I’ll make others happy”, this club teaches children how to remain healthy and maintain personal and community hygiene. The club aims on inculcating cleanliness habit among students and to acquaint and inspire them to celebrate excellence towards school sanitation.
Proposed activities for this session: Cleanliness Drive, Workshop on Good/Bad touch, Workshop on Oral Hygiene, Workshop on Adolescent issues, Share a bowl of Health.(Cook without fire), World Hand Washing Day, Fit India Movement, No Anger Activities, etc.
- Utkarsh- The Preparation for College Club: This club encourages students in grades 9–12 to learn about potential careers and explore fields that interest them. Members are introduced to budgets and create one based upon future lifestyle choices and the average income of their researched careers. Students engage in career activities including building a resume, finding and applying for jobs and internship opportunities, and developing interview strategies and techniques. This club enables students to transition from high school with more direction in mind, making them more likely to embrace and succeed in a post-secondary program that prepares them for pursuing their career interests.
Proposed Activities for the Session: college preparation and admissions process, college planning, building a resume, identifying career interests and potential majors, researching colleges, completing applications, and identifying financial aid and scholarship opportunities, etc.
- Prowess- The Life Skills Club: Life skills are essentially those abilities that help promote overall wellbeing and competence in young people as they face the realities of life. Life skills include psycho social competencies and interpersonal skills that help people make informed decisions, solve problems, think critically and creatively, communicate effectively, build healthy relationships, empathize with others, and cope with managing their lives in a healthy and productive manner. In order to help our students to adapt and adjust well with the changing demands of society, the club emphasizes on life skills education as an integral part of entire education system. .
Proposed Activities for the Session: Class discussions, Brainstorming, Role plays , Special Assembly based on Life Skills topics, Case studies, Storytelling , Debates , Activities on the topics of Self-awareness, Empathy, Critical thinking, Creative thinking, Decision making, Problem Solving, Effective communication, Interpersonal relationship, Coping with stress, Coping with emotions, etc.
- Influencers- The TED-Ed Clubs — It is a club that supports students in discussing, pursuing and presenting their big ideas in the form of short TED-style talks. By participating in a TED-Ed Club, students further develop presentation and public speaking skills so that their ideas can be more easily seen, understood, shared and acted upon. ‘The effect of laughter on someone who’s sad’, ‘ The reason human beings need so much sleep’, ‘The thought of infinity’. These are just a few of the topics that students will explore through TED-Ed. This Club offers students a hands-on opportunity to work on the storytelling and communication skills that will be vital, no matter what career path they end up strolling down.
Proposed Activities for the Session: Celebration of various days like International Day of Education, World Thinking Day, Youth skill Day, Prevention of domestic violence, etc.
- Tycoons-The Commerce Club Commerce Club focuses on practical training for the theoretical knowledge, which the commerce students gain in the classroom. They will run the school canteen, control its finances and prepare budget, all on the ground-rules of ethical practicalities. The objective of the Commerce Club is to expose students to the practical challenges in a business scenario. The club aims at building the self-confidence and increasing financial literacy among students. Students get an opportunity to generate and discuss new business plans and this helps the students to become prospective entrepreneurs who are not job seekers but job creators. The club is open to students of classes XI and XII
